"Dhampirs are part human and part vampire. Like most hybrids, they are stronger than both of their parents. And they have the best of both worlds. Not only do they possess all of a vampire's powers and abilities, but they have none of their weaknesses, except higher beings and thirst."
―A supernatural hunter on Dhampirs

Dhampirs, also called Daywalkers, are the hybrid union between a male vampire and a female human. They are typically portrayed as beings with characteristics from their vampiric fathers, but lacking many of their weaknesses. Due to the difficulty most vampires have in controlling their bloodlust when close to humans, dhampirs are exceedingly rare.

Overview[]

The birth of a dhampir is extremely difficult, due to the vampiric strength the baby possess. For this reason, very few mortal women survive. Those who do, however, usually abandon the baby and never speak of them again, but there are cases of mothers who still love their child, regardless of who they are.

Dhampirs are seen as a unique race, since a vampire resisting hunger long enough to impregnant a human woman is nearly unheard of. And because of the fact that they are naturally stronger than their vampiric parents, they are treated with fear and mistrust from vampires, although those who want power would try and seek out dhampirs for their own gain.

Dhampirs are characterized by their supernatural beauty, innate charm, and impressive strength. Regardless, they spend the majority of their lives as orphans and outsiders, facing prejudice and mistreatment from everyone around them due to their unique natures.

Description[]

Dhampirs are typically imagined as cruel and heartless monsters by many humans. This is not necessarily true as dhampirs have the potential to develop traits of kindness and compassion but due to being ostracized and mistreated by everyone they meet, they often succumb into the darkness inside of them. For those who managed to find happiness and people who accept them, they reject their unholy heritage and live peacefully among society.

Because of their charisma, these hybrids find it easy to work in any profession, although they generally choose occupations that don't require much communication with others. Like vampires, they possess a soul, but can touch holy objects and speak God's name without much problem. They require blood to function, though they can consume human food and beverages.

Powers and Abilities[]

Dhampirs are very powerful hybrids, having inherited a vampire's powers like immortality and supernatural strength. Unlike vampires though, dhampirs are only annoyed by sunlight and holy water. As stated above, they are naturally stronger than their vampiric parents, with the most powerful and experienced capable of rivalling and possibly surpassing the likes of the Alpha Vampires. Depending on who their parents are, their powers and abilities vary, but they all possess the same basic powers.
